For individuals referred by lawyers, social workers, mental health professionals, or agencies seeking structured accountability and behaviour-change support.
Participants are encouraged to take honest responsibility for their behaviours, choices, and the impact their actions may have on others.
The program supports participants in recognizing triggers, managing reactions, and developing nervous system and emotional regulation strategies.
Participants learn healthier communication, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills to support safer, more respectful relationships.
Our goal is not only behaviour change, but helping participants build the capacity for safer, more respectful, and more emotionally aware relationships.
This IPVP program provides a structured and reflective space for participants to explore the emotional, behavioural, and relational patterns that can contribute to conflict, harm, or unsafe relationship dynamics.
Participants will explore topics such as:
• Emotion regulation, anger, triggers, and warning signs
• Power and control dynamics in relationships
• Beliefs, attitudes, and behaviours that contribute to conflict or abuse
• The impact of abuse and violence on partners, children, self, and family systems
• Communication styles and conflict resolution skills
• De-escalation strategies during stress or conflict
• Substance use and its influence on behaviour and decision-making
• Responsibility, accountability, and healthy boundaries
Throughout the program, participants are supported in developing greater awareness of their emotional and behavioural responses while learning practical strategies for meaningful change.
Through structured sessions and guided discussion, participants are supported in building practical skills for healthier decision-making, emotional regulation, and relationship behaviour.
Participants will learn how to:
• Recognize triggers, escalation patterns, and early warning signs
• Increase awareness of thoughts, emotions, and behavioural reactions
• Understand the impact of their actions on others and their relationships
• Challenge thinking patterns that contribute to harmful behaviour
• Develop healthier communication and conflict resolution skills
• Strengthen emotional regulation and anger management strategies
• Build accountability, ownership, and thoughtful decision-making
• Practice responding rather than reacting during moments of stress or conflict
The focus of the program is not simply on stopping harmful behaviours, but on developing the insight, regulation, and relational skills needed for healthier and more respectful interactions.
